Why briquettes?

A century ago, cheapest, most practical, efficient and convenient raw material for heating were wood and coal, later they were replaced by oil and gas – is very effective, but, unfortunately, limited and irreplaceable in fuel stocks. According to the most optimistic forecasts, and oil and gas run out within three to five decades, so now all over the world for the production of heat and power using alternative renewable energy sources.

The very production of briquettes from waste wood, agricultural and other waste, and is such an alternative.
Prices for traditional energy is constantly increasing. Additionally, in the EU and increased demands on the purity of industrial waste. Europe is very sensitive to the environmental issues and problem-solving environment. Therefore, the production of briquettes from biomass – a clean fuel – a very important aspect of the Kyoto Protocol.
The main advantages of fuel briquettes from waste products to conventional fuels – is their sustainability and renewability, as well as high rates of heat transfer and efficiency. This allows extensive use of wood pellets in power plants, boilers for heating private houses and other objects.
The basis of modern technologies of production of briquettes is three main stages of preparation of biomass: raw materials grinding into a homogeneous mass, drying it, and then – in the shock is mechanical briquetting press under high pressure. The raw material for the manufacture of briquettes serve as biological waste – from sunflower husks, finishing paper, cardboard, and simply fallen leaves – that is all that is just lying around under our feet!

Waste production is comfortable both in terms of logistics and in terms of energy efficiency. Compared with the feedstock, fuel briquettes burn with heat transfer, is ten times more per unit volume. Two kilograms of briquettes emit as much energy as a liter, and several times more expensive oil. Due to the high density and low moisture content briquettes, they are also very advantageous to store and maintain, especially when compared with the feedstock.
What’s more profitable: the production of briquettes or pellets?

In terms of economic benefits, the production of fuel briquettes in the briquetting mechanical shock is more attractive, because investments in briquetting line and the cost is much lower relative to the granulation line with a similar capacity. The briquetting line based shock mechanical press for the quality of raw materials set minimum requirements, so it is possible the production of briquettes from a much larger quantity of waste. However, one and the other technology equipment for production of briquettes eliminates the expensive imported gas to the inexhaustible and wasted fuel.

In general, the production of briquettes, equipment for the manufacture of fuel briquettes from wood, straw, reeds, sale of fuel briquettes in Europe and the use of the domestic market is a very lucrative and promising business, because our agroindustrial potential allows Ukraine to become a leading exporter of fuel briquettes to European countries
